I represent clients in all aspects of their corporate legal needs, including Mergers and Acquisitions, General Business, Employment Law and Securities. My expertise in these and other areas coupled with my extensive legal and business experience as the former General Counsel of a NYSE energy services company makes me uniquely qualified to provide my clients with exceptional business and legal advice regarding all aspects of their businesses and operations, with a particular emphasis on the energy industry.  I previously served as the General Counsel of Key Energy Services, Inc. for over seven years.  I also previously practiced with the Houston law firms of Porter & Hedges, LLP and Schlanger, Mills, Mayer & Grossberg, LLP and more recently was a principal with Ewing & Jones, PLLC.  I received my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering in 1985 following which I worked as an engineer for eight years at Houston’s Johnson Space Center in the Space Shuttle and Space Station programs.  I received my Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center in December 1993 and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in May 1994. I am a member of the American Bar Association, including its Business Law Section and that section’s Corporate Governance Committee and Mergers and Acquisitions Committee, including the Private Equity M&A and Acquisition of Public Companies subcommittees thereof. I am a member of the State Bar of Texas Business Law and Corporate Counsel Sections.
